When EA wanted to promote their new game Mirror's Edge they approached Worth1000 to create a branded contest campaign. The contest theme was to allow people to "photoshop" the main character from Mirror's Edge into funny situations, and allow the community to vote on the top winners. The winner received a free Xbox360 and copy of Mirror's Edge. Entrants were also provided with a method of sharing their entry across Facebook, Twitter, etc... to help encourage their friends to vote on the contests and drive viral traffic to the campaign, where video trailers could be viewed as well.
Aviary's photo-editing tool was embedded directly in the contest, effectively allowing anyone with an idea and some skill to participate.
